Omg, how f'n true is this statement? How easy would life be if we didn't have confusing role models? If our dad's were bastions of "right" and didn't hit us, or scare us, or disappoint us?

That's an awesome proverb. I agree, cheers to those who do have good dads - the rest of us just have to find a different role model!
ReplyDeleteExactly, M! It took me a long time, and many mistakes to become my own role model. I recently spent some time with a friend whose family was like the Cleavers or a Norman Rockwell painting. I wasn't exactly "jealous", but I was a little nostalgic for something I never had.
